April 2012

On Monday we potted up a few patio pots and hanging baskets.
The girls were so excited to see a bee on a "flower" in the grass.

First iris of the year, veggies in the greenhouse.  Instead of starting from seed this year, I let the girls choose a couple vegetables from the store.  They chose tomatoes, mixed garden lettuce, cabbage, and broccoli.
Herb and perennial beds are growing really well (to see what they looked like less than a month ago, check the garden clean-up post)
New home for the potato and garlic box, bleeding heart bush.

Linking up to the Homeschool Village's Garden Challenge.

  1. Just had to laugh at your 'flower in the grass'. Last year my kids were mad when we wanted to get rid of the dandelions. Dandelions are actually a great flower for bees & butterflies; too bad they don't make the neighbors happy. ;)
