Releasing the Butterflies and Garden Update

We finally released the butterflies.  It was fun to see them fly away!

For a garden update, we aren't harvesting any vegetables yet, but our herbs are doing great.  It's still early here for harvesting yet.

  1. What kinds of herbs are you growing. They certainly have some bright purple/blue flowers! Stopping by from the HSV Garden Challenge.

    1. Thank you for visiting my blog. The tall purple/blue is Salvia and the short purple is creeping thyme, the dark pink under our arms is dianthus.

  2. Those flowers look terrific! And congrats on being successful with the butterflies! That's one thing that we failed miserably at last year.

    1. Thanks for visiting my blog Crissyanna. All 5 became butterflies, but we kept them in the net house for about 3.5 weeks, by the time we released, there were only two still alive. It was a really fun activity for the kids. You should try again, maybe you had a bad batch.
